The North Dakota Corn Growers sponsored "Pump Up the Ballpark" at the August 10th Redhawks baseball game. The weather during the day was ominous as to whether we would get in our special event or not. But, our luck prevailed and despite a slight rain delay, the night turned out to be a great evening!
We had great success in attendance of tickets we were able to give away. 85% of the tickets distributed were in attendance at the game. What a terrific percentage!
Many of our board members were able to attend and visit with members and potential members. The office staff could be found behind our booth in the concession area. We were busy distributing can koozies, corn nuts and sharing coupons for discounts on blended fuel at particpating providers. We also had the E-85 race car and driver, Jason Strand, outside the stadium.
We hope that you are able to join us next year for an even better event that is already being planned. But until then, here are a few pictures that show the great time.

Blender Pump Program
For retailers deciding if they want to install blender pumps under the current program, the deadline is fast approaching. Do not miss out on the opportunity to be included in the growing number of retailers with blended fuel as an option at your station.
There are currently close to 150 pump applications that have been submitted to the ND Department of Commerce Department. However, there is still room for that number to grow!
The North Dakota Corn Council is offering a $2,500 per pump matching grant in addition to the state grant of $5,000. Guidelines for the state grant can be found at www.blenderpumps.nd.gov
Once retailers qualify through the North Dakota Department of Commerce, they are eligible for the $2,500 per pump Corn Council matching grant.
